Of the 38% of Americans that claim to oppose the death penalty, a clear majority favored killing Timothy McVeigh. Now a new decade, a new President, a new storyline,....the death penalty foes are coming out in force to cry for mercy for Saddam Hussein, a megalomaniacal monster that is responsible for the deaths of at least a million people, countless acts of torture, one of the only post WWI occurences of the use of Chemical weapons (superceding even Hitler in some categories), and the ongoing forced starvation of his own people. Eric Alterman, who has worked for MSNBC for a decade and just weeks ago joined Media Matters to host his Left wing blog, is now criticizing Rush Limbaugh for his remarks about Michael J. Fox's campaign ad. From his post on his blog and the link imbedded in the post, Limbaugh's remarks are referred to as "Despicable". If Alterman thinks these remarks are despicable, where was the outrage at MSNBC from Matt Lauer to Keith Olbermann and the "Drive by" Media when Alterman, upon hearing of Limbaugh's Deafness and his surgery said, He wished deafness upon Limbaugh.

"...The answer is simple: the Left is angry, and whenever they spot a weakness in the GOP, their radars are up for fresh Republican fodder and they’re looking down with condescension.

The other night Bill Clinton was mocking the President and claiming he is trying to scare you. Claiming as he said, that there is a terrorist on every corner. Once again, Clinton is trying to convince us that all is well, there is no sizable threat and even the "minor" threat from these two bit terrorists is not anything to worry about. He is basically claiming that Middle eastern islamo fascists are inferior to us, and to fear them as a threat is the behavior of a coward. If so, how well did our stealth bombers do against box cutters on a Jetliner.

This is the foreign policy section of his 1996 acceptance speech at the DNC Convention, where he famously said,"And I'm proud to say that tonight there is

partisan, matter, pass these laws now.

Third, we will improve airport and air travel security. I have
asked the vice president to establish a commission and report
back to me on ways to do this. But now we will install the most
sophisticated bomb detection equipment in all our major
airports. We will search every airplane flying to or from
America from another nation -- every flight, every cargo hold,
every cabin, every time.

My fellow Democrats and my fellow Americans, I know that in

most election seasons, foreign policy is not a matter of great
interest in the debates in the barbershops and the cafes of
America, on the plant floors and at the bowling alleys.

But there are times -- there are times when only America can
make the difference between war and peace, between freedom
and repression, between life and death.

We cannot save all the world's children, but we can save many
of them. We cannot become the world's policeman, but where
our values and our interests are at stake, and where we can

We have seen the terrible, terrible price that people pay when
they insist on fighting and killing their neighbors over their
differences.

In our own country, we have seen America pay a terrible price
for any form of discrimination. And we have seen us grow
stronger as we have steadily let more and more of our hatreds

people the chance to live their dreams.

As we have posted before, the WMDs that have been found by American soldiers were not a massive array of stockpiles, but enough to kill a lot more americans than 911. Up until now there have been 5 different types of BIOCHEM weapons and that is aside from the missles and delivery systems discovered that were in clear violation of UNSCOM. The WMDs acquirred by the Poles from insurgents may explain one of several reasons that we are only now hearing about the race to find WMDs before the Terrorists did. We have found over 500 WMD devices since 2003 and whatever condition some might be, of the 500 there are plenty enough to turn the Super Bowl, Manhatten, West LA or the Broward County Fair into a killing zone. I'm still not sure what the line, "Bush lied, people died" means.

Let's review. In the same month, Stalinist Saddam, the only leader to use Gas in combat in nearly a century is soon to be sentanced. Two, Al Qaeda beheader and mass murderer Zarqawai who, by the way, was operating in Iraq before the war, is killed. Three, A Newly elected constitutional government takes office in Iraq. Ho Chi Minh trail meets the border fence in Mexicali

I took this picture yesterday as I was driving north through Mexicali, Baja California. Along with this image of Ho Chi Min, were many other images of Communist or latin American populist characters like Che Gueverra (AKA Dr. Lynch, the executioner).

As we have posted earlier this year, the increase in leftist activity in latin america have been visibly present in East LA and Northern Mexico. Driving through Mexicali, we saw 5 different locations with large murals of Karl Marx, Zapatista leader Subcommandante Zero, Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Min.

Mixed in with the marxist icons is Nahuatl and Aztlan phrases that advocate the violent take over of the United States. The Aztlan groups are the same ones that, with the help of International Communist groups like the ANSWER network, organized the immigration protests in LA and other cities earlier this year.

The BBC mistook a cab driver for an expert that was supposed to comment in a BBC interview on the Apple v. Beatles case. The look on the cab drivers face when the cameras start rolling and he realizes they are about to interview him is priceless. He mumbles in a heavy french accent something about how he is surprised to be interviewed, but when the interviewer doesn't catch on and plods through he begins to ad lib.

Based partly on anecdotal evidence of my own experience, I have been seeing an increase in the romantic revival of latin american socialist iconography and themes in the spanish speaking world in the past two years.

In the past year, I have seen more paintings of Zapatista leader Subcommandante zero on the sides of East LA meat markets. I have seen groups of young men stopping traffic in the deserts of Baja as they paint pictures of Geronimo and Che on the walls of roadside cliffs. I have experienced a rapid increase in home burgalaries in my neighborhood in Mexico that seem to be more like anti american vandalism.

Those events in the past two months that have coincided with the Immigration marches along with the highly public policitical moves of South American dictators has me concerned about a two front war. Not a two front war "geographically", but against two tyrannical ideologies, "Expansionist Islamo fascism" and Communist expansionism.

I was reading Pro Cynic's article on his theory that Venezuelan Castro clone, Hugo Chavez is quietly aiding and encouraging the immigration marches, and I thought, If we are going to speculate let's connect a bunch of dots.

The theory goes that Chavez and his buddies in Cuba want the marches to draw a backlash from white americans and congress which will get out the vote for the Socialist Candidate for the Mexican Presidency in July. First lets note that Obrador has slipped out of first when he sidestepped the debates last month.

In support of the theory, Obrador has denied any ties to Chavez, a smart move in a country that bristled at the highly personal and testosterone laced verbal jousting between Chavez and Fox last year. With the obligatory accusations of being to close to the Americans, Many Mexicans took it as a personal affront, the equivelent of not being black enough.

Let's connect dots beyond the Chavez comrades and the Mayday Immigrant Marchs. What about links between these two groups and the Islamofascists? We know that Chavez and his supporters threw a party on Sept. 12, 2001, to celebrate the previous days events. Saddam was the only other head of state known to have done this. That same month he sent $1 million to Aid Al Qaeda in Afghanistan. Chavez refers to Bush as a terrorist.

The communist group, The ANSWER Network, in New York City and organizer of the May Day Marches, has been a major supporter of numerous Palestinian terrorist groups, american born Al Qaeda suspects, they share an address with Ramsey Clark (Saddam Hussein's defense attorney) and the International Action Center, and they initiated the American arm of the European underworld's push to lift sanctions on Iraq in the 90s. So, Ahem...Let's count the tenticles. And remember the common theme of each one of these groups is a desire to see a weakening of American influence, come what may.

Here goes,...The Answer Network enjoys cozy relationships with Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, anyone that worships Karl Marx, Bolivia's new darling (oil industry nationalizer)Evo Morales, Socialist Mexican candidate Obrador, Osama Bin Laden, The Taliban, Saddam Hussein, Kim Jung Il, The Underworld coalition at the UN that used Oil for food to aid Saddam's plan to subvert the West's ability to contain the growth of WMDs (IraqSanctionsChallenge.org), Mean people with lots of oil (not refering to so called "Big Oil") that use it as a weapon, US Born Al Qaeda members, Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman and the WTC 93 bombers, Palestinian terrorist groups, President Ahmendinijad of Iran AKA the new Messiah and twelth Imam of the imminent Armageden and finally a few miillion Illegal aliens marching through the cities of America, which they claim has not been very nice to them.

One humorous note. The LA Mayday marchers, went out of their way to get the local media to mention that its not just hispanic protestors that joined in. They mentioned broad support from Korean Americans, but only mentioned the KIWA. Korean Americans tend to follow immigration laws very strictly, they are staunch conservatives and anti communists. They resent having waited between 7 and 15 years to step off the boat and then see the guy that bags their Kimchee walk across the border and demand his voters registration card.

The KIWA is a socialist front group created in 1992 after the Koreans were burned out of South Central. The group was created to help unionize hispanic workers that worked in large Korean markets. The march route intentionally passed through Koreatown in a show of force against a conservative pro business minority. So you have ANSWER claiming support from an ethnic group that they have been harrasing since LA set them on fire in 1992. Kim Jung Il, had to of gotten a giggle out of that irony.

Shelby Steele's recent article about the world's acute awareness of the power of using white guilt against America as an effective weapon to short circuit the West's ability to mobilize against tyrants that are intent on taking over the world, demonstrates the scary position we are in. A resurgence of the Romance of Che Gueverra and Pancho Villa and any number of other latino Robin Hoods, along with a century of anti yankee sentiment in the region, can only compound Liberty's task at hand. If the new face of socialism is going to be Hugo Chavez. Then we have to be prepared for him to ally himself with the New Caliphate. Chavez will imagine a new world of Socialists in the western hemisphere, including demoralized ANSWER Network leftists who follow his lead and the growing hispanic electorate in the Western US. He will imagine himself living at peace with the new Islamic Caliphate as it out-populates Europe, and isolates an oil hungry East Asia.

After all, what was once in the realm of ridiculous and unbelievable is now passing across our video screens nightly and the left is so afraid to imagine Hitler will invade Poland that it just chooses to pretend like it will go away.

We have a madman sitting on top of the world's oil supply, claiming he's got nukes, insists that he is going to exterminate the sovereign nation of Israel, and he is a member of an Islamic Sect that is even more extreme than the Wahhabis in Osama Bin Ladens inner circle. Iranian Dictator Mahmud Ahmadinejad is a member of an Islamic radical sect, the Hojjatieh, that believes the messiah or the 12th Imam is coming RIGHT NOW. Believers insist that they must create Chaos, such as detonating Thermonuclear devices on the Temple Mount. If that does not create enough chaos, then you repeat step one, create more chaos using more Nukes. So unless you believe that Ahmadinejad is the messiah... or his partner then the Nukes will continue until the earth can not be made anymore chaotic. At least in the "Duck and cover" days of the Cold War, there was a chance of no armagedden, which turned out to be true in that case, thanks to the Gipper. One thing is for sure. For 40 years, a growing liberal sub culture has attached itself to the underbelly of the intelligence community. The same community that was created in the 1940s to "Prevent another Pearl harbor".

The Liberal Cabal at the State department was side stepped by Nixon, who had first hand experience with State department employee Alger Hiss. During the late 70s, the CIA was gutted of charter members like Bill Casey and the followers of founder "Wild Bill" Donovan. More non military employees were hired.

The Valerie Plame affair pulled back the curtain to expose how broad the loose cannon of left wing subversion is in the intelligence community. It spreads from Sandy Burglar's State Department through Mary McCarthy's Office of Inspector General in the CIA. Porter Goss was adamently obstructed from getting the CIA chief's position, because it was well known that he was coming in to purge the subversives that refused to serve their President and fight the global war on terror. UN's John Bolton was also opposed for the same reason. Rumsfeld has been under attack by the drive by media lately for the same reason. All three of these individuals have been accused of "Rude, intimidating, disrespectful, confrontational behavior". Dick Cheney was also accused of intimidation just for the fact that he paid a personal visit to Langley. Ironically, Hillary Clinton's screaming tirades were considered Resume enhancements.

Is it possible that Porter Goss was forced out by the leftists? It has been said that John Helgerson, the head of the Inspector General's office and Mary McCarthy's boss was not happy about submitting to a Lie detector, regarding Goss' leak investigation. Drudge is now reporting that Goss is being accused of attending Poker partie's (prostitutes present) with Kyle Foggo, CIA number 3, who is currently under investigation regarding the Duke Cunningham scandal. Is it possible that this information was sniffed out by McCarthy/ Helgerson's IG office?

We also know that McCarthy was close to Valerie Plame, and her boss, Alan Foley at WINPAC in the CIA, that regularly locked horns with John Bolton. McCarthy was also close to Richard Clarke who became a media sensation for criticizing Bush. McCarthy, Foley, Plame, Larry Johnson, Rand Beers, Helgerson, were also close to Ray McGovern, the Lunatic leftist, former CIA analyst that disrupted Rumsfeld's speech this week and vaulting him to demigod status.

It is assumed by many that Director of National Intelligence, John Negroponte, wanted Goss out. We know McGovern, and the leftist bush haters in the model of Ray McGovern and his VIPS wanted Goss out. "America thinks liberalism is loony and radical, so we have to trick the gullible masses into believing we are reasonable". Their job is to say we believe in liberal counter culture ideology, but not that loony extreme silly flavor of left wing stuff. Even mainstream Democratic operatives winked and said, Clinton is trying to deceive the masses, but he has to cause they are stupid and its better we sway them than the evil Republicans.

The reaction of the press to the Dick Cheney "Sporting injury" which the media keeps calling, the "Vice President's shooting incident" proves one thing. The left is made up of blue state non-hunters that can not conceive of a shotgun as anything other than a tool for murder of another human being. Every four years their candidates try to buck the general public's accurate conception that they view guns this way by claiming that target practice is fun and hunting is a sport that even they participate in, but the truth is on parade this week. Every time Laurence O'Donnel or Al Franken scream out, "...But, the Vice President SHOT a man". They can't conceive that this was an sporting accident.

What happened to Cheny is as common to bird hunters as a broken leg to a skier. It doesn't happen to all skiers, but all skiers know someone who has broken a leg.

If Franken jumped from a diving board and landed on another person, is he attempting to drown that person. If O'Donnell were hiking in Anwar (which has never been done, by the way) and while sitting around the campfire, his pocket knife slipped and poked his bareback mountain buddy, is he trying to murder his camping partner. No, these are sporting accidents.

When I was 15 in Texas, I went to visit my friend Jay, who was recovering after being peppered with some 50 or 60 pellets by a family friend. He looked like he had chicken pox. The only unpleasant site was the one that hit the white of his eye. They didn't go to the emergency room. They didn't go to the police. They waited until the following day, and went to his doctor's office. His Father's Friend was not refered to as "The Shooter". Everybody in the hunting party felt horrible for the man who pulled the trigger. He was devastated and felt like a fool, even though it was Jay's fault.

Next time John Kerry, Al Gore, or Bill Clinton stand up and claim to a red state audience, "I am a hunter!", let's remember, in reality, they see all guns as the tool of the devil and as a hostile macho symbol of a murdering white culture. They do not have affection for the image in flyover, red state America of a father and son going out with friends to enjoy a weekend of hunting.

Joel Stein opposes all wars, except Osama supported wars

The LA Times article by Joel Stein has some applauding his honesty in admitting that he doesn't "Support the Troops". In subsequent interviews it is clear he is confused about his own feelings and thoughts and is pretty much unclear about just what he thinks about his country's role in the world today.

On Hugh Hewitt's Radio program today, he said he does not support any American military role ever outside of the US. Strangely enough, in his article he implies that the Kosovo war was a moral war.

But when you volunteer for the U.S. military, you pretty much know you're not going to be fending off invasions from Mexico and Canada. So you're willingly signing up to be a fighting tool of American imperialism, for better or worse. Sometimes you get lucky and get to fight ethnic genocide in Kosovo, but other times it's Vietnam.

Is it a coincidence that the Kosovo War was Bill Clinton's effort at fighting a "Good War". Talk about a War based on lies. The Clinton administration called it the war to prevent Genocide, but most estimates of civilian killings prior to the war are between 2000 and 3000, much less than the 100s of thousands that administration promised.

Bill Clinton summed up the war this way:

One common estimate of the number of Kosovar Albanians killed in the year before the bombing is 2,500.

I honor the Soldiers that did what they were ordered to do under Clinton, but it was a misguided choice for Clinton to go to war. The KLA openly admitted that they flooded into Kosovo prior to the war in an effort to draw international sympathy and draw the US and NATO in militarily to legitimize their annexation of Kosovo and turn it into an islamic state. We now know that Osama Bin Laden was actively supporting the Islamic terrorists in the KLA as they moved to get an independent state and springboard to launch an islamic effort to destabilize the region and Europe as a whole.

So we have Joel Stein who clearly stated that he did not support the US invasion of Afghanistan and the attacks on Al Qaeda, but he does support the morality of Osama Bin Laden in his efforts to turn Europe into a Taliban style Islamic state.

He claims that the Army is full of people ignoring morality. Please, explain to me how this man is not completely confused about what is in his own head? I personally consider the LA Times ill served by an OP-ED writer who has such a crippled moral compass, but worse than that, the LA Times is just stupendously foolish to pay a salary for someone to express his opinions on national issues, when the writer is so clearly ignorant about what his opinions really are and why he harbors them.

The Conscientious Objector

I would like to offer my gratitude to all Veterans on this Veterans day that have contributed to the cause to keep Freedom alive.

I watched an incredible Documentary last night called the, "The Conscientious Objector".

On Memorial day we offer gratitude to those that have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. On Veterans day, One of the many contributions that our surviving soldiers have been asked to do is to carry a weapon and kill our enemy and suffer the trauma that goes with that sacrifice.

This movie portrays the story of a WWII medic that suffered ridicule for his refusal to carry a weapon, but later after miraculous feats of heroism, walked into withering barrages of enemy fire to save the very comrades that had previously criticized him. His heroism and mysterious ability to avoid gunfire in combat, won the respect of his fellow soldiers.

My young daughter told me that his example is inspiring, but she hopes not all of our soldiers imitate it. I too admire those vetrens that have killed the wicked, so the innocent may live free, but this man's example is that he contributed to the war against evil in the way that he was capable of giving. He was a devout Christian that observed the Sabbath and read the bible in a foxhole. He realized the fight against the Japanese would continue without him, but as a combat medic, he could save lives. Navajo codetalkers contributed in the ways that they were able to contribute. The Tuskeegee airmen offered what they could. They all share one thing in common. They didn't make excuses. They recognized evil, agreed work needed to be done in opposition to it, and they put their lives on the line to contribute to the cause of freedom.

Today, we live in a world of anti-establishment, antiwar, hatefilled liberals that attack the Americans that are fighting for freedom, but not offering a solution or even admitting that freedom is in danger. If they are against killing, even if they are against killing evil monsters, this man offers an example of how a devout and principled man can stand by his pacifist christian beliefs and still stand firmly on the side of freedom.

Harry Truman gave Doss the Medal of Honor upon his safe return home to the land of the free and the home of the Brave.

What is the link between the Media and the CIA? Recent reports of Journalist's remarks about the Valerie Plame affair have me wondering, how close are the Main Stream media with the CIA analysts that have been waging war on the Bush Administration. For decades, the State Department has been a left wing lair for lifetime Democrats intent on steering Foreign policy regardless of the desires of the President at the time. The most famous example was Nixon circumventing his State Department with Henry Kissinger so he could accomplish his foreign policy agenda. The CIA obviously has a certain segment of analysts that have moved from a group of quiet grumbling leftists to activist dissenters that are actively undercutting a wartime President.

There are several links between the mainstream media and these CIA dissidents. Judith Miller, who spent enough time in jail to wait out the Prosecutor until he realized he didn't have a case, practically lived at the CIA during the run up to 911. She was writing a book on WMDs and spent a great deal of time rubbing elbows with the analysts in WINPAC. This was the division on WMDs and Non proliferation, headed up by Alan Foley who was the boss of Valerie Plame. Andrea Mitchell also covered the CIA for NBC and claims that all the Reporters on the intelligence beat knew who Valerie Plame was and long before Novak wrote his article.

***Update: Threatened with a lawsuit for "slander," retired Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely is turning the tables on Ambassador Joseph C. Wilson, calling on the man at the center of the CIA leak controversy to offer a public apology for accusing him of lying. Vallely has revealed that Wilson told him his wife was a spy at least a year before the Novak article.****

When the law was written to protect the identity of covert agents, Barry Goldwater insisted that the Agency and its employees must make a reasonable effort to maintain their covert status in order for someone to be charged with the crime of uncovering it. Neither the CIA or Plame or Wilson were making reasonable efforts to keep her identity hidden. On the contrary, Wilson did everything but don a rainbow wig and wave a sign in the end zone of RFK Stadium.

The agency by any reasonable account at the least had numerous opportunities to reduce the possibility of her exposure and most probably intentionally sought media exposure for the Niger argument via Wilson and his wife. Her exposure was of little concern to them.

I have seen enough of these analysts wall to wall on network TV lately claiming to be Valerie's friend, Valerie's coworker, etc. This bunch fears the limelight as much as Cindy Sheehan. For what its worth, Fitzgerald basically acknowledged that Plame was not covert when he skipped that and charged Libby with divulging the contents of a classified document about the Niger trip. The contents of which Wilson had been divulging ad nauseum to any cub reporter that he could get his hands on. By the time Wilson joined the Kerry campaign in March of 2003, he had already been discussing details of his mission with several people. He attended a conference and sat on a panel with Nick Kristoff who later wrote the first known mention of Wilson's accusations against the President and Vice President. Wilson later admitted that he did approach Kristoff with his tale of woe and during the multi-day conference his wife Valerie Plame always accompanied him. Here is Wilson intentionally trying to get publicity for a story against the most public figure in America and introducing everybody to his wife, who Novak later found by looking in Who's who. There she is listed as Mr. Wilson's wife. Does anybody think that if a publicity seeker like Cindy Sheehan was married to a spy, that someone wouldn't eventually say, isn't that the one that I see driving into the front gate of the CIA everyday.

The CIA and the Mainstream media have a lot in common. They both gather data. They both try to derive meaning from that data and apply meaning to it, thus producing information. In the current culture, they both have become more and more self absorbed that their worldview is the only possible context to see current events. They both restrict the release of certain data if it legitimizes conservative viewpoints.

In a post 911 CIA, there is a culture in the agency that is resistant to the administration, and considers the Bush administration ignorant about the "correct" worldview to be used when they are given intelligence data. Therefore if they refuse to accept the CIA "context" they will drag their feet on releasing data that might reinforce the worldview of the Bush administration. Furthermore they consider the Bush administration to be rude and disrespectful about what they consider to be the objective fact that the CIA's worldview is morally superior. This proves to them that the Bush administration is morally inferior, which is one more reason to restrict the amount of information they provide for them, or the FBI, or anyone else that might help them. The Bush administration is even more disrespectful when they circumvent the CIA in search of the intel that the CIA refuses to give them.

Wilson claims that Cheney asked for intel and intentionally hid the findings and claimed the opposite. The CIA gave Cheney the data and he lied. Rove outed us and in essence tried to kill us. Democrats claimed they need an intel czar so that all agencies share data. Porter Goss walked in and asked the CIA to start sharing data and they went ballistic, because they think he is part of the Rove gang. Remember, Rove wants to kill them. They don't trust their commander in chief, their boss, but they seem to leak like a sieve to the mainstream media. The most secret entity has a special bond with the world's largest megaphone.

The CIA was created to for one reason, to avoid another Pearl Harbor, according to Ray McGovern, outspoken leftist CIA analyst. If The Bush administration thinks that the CIA might bear some responsibility for 911. The CIA will let you know that's wrong. They think the Bush administration is ignorant and immoral for not respecting the agencies moral and intellectual superiority. They believe Condi Rice knew about 911 ahead of time (at least by August 6.). They would like us to believe that Bush regularly ignores CIA intel and things like 911 just happen. They also are fond of implying that more Pearl Harbors and 911s are coming and for the most part they are washing their hands of the whole thing. Never mind that, even if Bush wanted to stop them by any other means besides an Iraq pullout, he is on his own, because they will not supply him with data to avert such an attack because he can't be trusted with it.
These CIA dissidents, like the MSM, also have acquired an incredibly thin skin. Porter Goss arrives to head the CIA and the news media is awash with stories that he is Rude, disrespectful, and oblivious to the years of experience of lifetime analysts that he is insulting. Valerie Plame's Boss, Alan Foley, and Ray McGovern claim that it was generally felt that Cheney making a personal visit to the CIA was intimidating, "...meant to pressure.” unprecedented, "...looking over our shoulders...” John Bolton, who Foley basically admits that he wanted a CIA plant in his office at state to have an inside line on policy makers complained that He and Bolton regularly argued over what items Bolton could declassify. The mainstream media has forever borked Bolton into being some kind of boss from hell that was,"intimidating, disrespectful, shocking,” Don't forget Wilson who claims Rove among others, is trying to intimidate him and threaten him.

Bolton, Cheney, Porter Goss, Rove and Bush himself intimidate the Spymasters of the world? Can anyone picture CIA Director William Casey saying, "We had a visit from someone at our headquarters and it scared us".
I have always sensed that Reporters that wax eloquent about their days in the jungle of Vietnam in some way consider themselves at least as courageous if not more than the Combat soldiers they covered. Remember Al Gore boldly bragging about how he served "in" Vietnam, while George Bush was "AWOL". Al Gore never left the Saigon city limits while he worked on the newspaper. The fatality rate on Bush's test flights was much more dangerous than the risk of paper cuts Gore faced.

I am convinced that the anecdotal interviews with Liberal CIA analysts that exaggerate the danger that Plame is in, might have a bit of the same feeling of inadequacy whenever a person at a cocktail party asks them if they are a spy since they work at the CIA. Bolton was sent to the UN to confront what had turned into a shadow government of Saddam Hussein. Cheney, who has some experience with the Persian Gulf and the Arab world, was sent to confront Islamofascist mass murderers so that our families will not suffer another 911 in our homes or the buildings we work. Porter Goss was sent to repair the Stovepipes of an agency that has become even more of a disinformation well, since they failed in their raison d'etre, to protect us from another Pearl Harbor.

Michelle Malkin reported on how the The New York Times in an attempt to exploit the 2000th death in Iraq, hijacked a letter from Cpl. Jeffrey Starr that he wrote to his Girlfriend to be read on the occasion of his Death. The intent of the quote taken out of context was intended to blemish the decisions of soldiers that reenlist. The parts of his letter that were cut out are some of the most beautiful words written by a soldier on the meaning of his own death and the last full measure of his devotion to the freedom that he loved. The next few sentances added significant meaning as he wrote:

Movie Review: Serenity, ...Wow! Unique, New, Intelligent, Exciting

Last night, we went to the Pre screening of the new Universal release, Serenity. I was expecting a Battlestar galactica, Sci-Fi, movie with R2D2, 3 headed aliens, laser beams and very little story.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

Serenity was a surprise for several reasons, but the biggest surprise is that Hollywood is capable of creating something new. This movie was refreshing for its avoiding all the clichés of past space movies. When you get so lost in the story that you forget that it is a space movie, then it ceases to be a space movie and becomes just what it is, a riveting story with interesting characters.

Captain Reynolds’s ship is his final refuge after losing a war to a big brother style empire that is imposing its utopian model on its neighboring planets. The infighting and dissention amongst his crew of freebooters takes a turn when one of the passengers becomes a target of government assassins. Reynolds’s crew questions his decision to protect the young girl and even the audience might ask the same question, but you begin to realize that Reynolds may not have been looking for a fight, but a fight found him.

The result is an intelligent storyline surrounding the desire of some to create the perfect state at the expense of free will, individuality, and love itself. This philosophical debate does not occur on a PBS roundtable, it happens at high speed in incredible fight sequences, well-timed comic relief, and in the context of relationships between the rich characters.

One thing I appreciated was the richness of the female characters. It was not interstellar T&A and it was not Females filling less than credible male macho roles. The women were well-developed personalities that existed wholly on their own merits, not because of the men they were attached to, yet all of them were vulnerable as well.

The word that kept running through my head as we left the theater was "balance". Serenity is not a space movie, nor is it a western dressed up like a space movie, but the cowboy metaphor is touched on just enough to create some entertaining sequences. I enjoyed the homage to Woodcock from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, the man on the train that protected the vault and said, "Butch, you know that if it were *my* money, there is nobody that I would rather have steal it than you. But, you see, I am still in the employment of E. H. Herriman, of Union Pacific Railroad." The audience roared with laughter as Reynolds was robbing a bank and debated with the bank security man about how to explain it to his boss. The comedy was balanced in that it did not take away from the action or seem out of place. The characters were balanced. The story was evenly paced and pulled you a long. The only pause I had was wondering how the story could resolve itself and the loose ends did come together in the end in a number of clever twists.

My wife had told me before we went that she didn't like Science Fiction. So as my wife and I left the theater, she said, "What a surprise! That was a great story". She said, "That movie was not at all what I expected. It was Exciting and thoughtful". She said, "It was very balanced". I thought what strange word to apply to such an action packed movie.

If you are tired of Hollywood's endless sequels, Grisham/Clancy, Cartoon remakes, 70s spin-offs, and the copycat knock offs, try something new. Don't wait for the Video. Go see Serenity this weekend. If you think Serenity is just a space movie, then a Kurosawa film is just a samurai movie.

This movie is Unique, Refreshing, action packed, Funny and one of the more literary and intelligent messages I have seen in years. I highly recommend this movie.

Bill Clinton took us on a trip back in time to a simpler time in the realm of foreign affairs.

Reuters waxed nostalgic about this week's retreat for world leaders, describing the event lovingly as a "four ring circus" with the vigorous former president engaging in his trademark "flurry of behind the scenes meetings".

Unlike the current chief executive, George Bush, who relies on a direct approach and backing up his words with actions, Clinton proudly declared "promises" and "commitments" from world leaders who conveyed to him "..promises from global leaders to do things to make the world a better place..".

In a lighter note, Clinton's old soulmate reminisced with his old pal, that he now thinks that Liberal utopian dreams like the Kyoto treaty are not "practical". Refering to his new world view as "brutally honest", Blair spoke on stage with the former president looking on:
"...Blair, a longtime supporter of the Kyoto treaty, further prefaced his remarks by noting, "My thinking has changed in the past three or four years." So what does he think now? "No country, he declared, "is going to cut its growth." That is, no country is going to allow the Kyoto treaty, or any other such global-warming treaty, to crimp -- some say cripple -- its economy ..."

When Blair said he would speak with "brutal honesty" the levity of the four ring circus became a bit less bustling and the typical bold rhetorical flourishs of those heady days gone by seemed as if from another century.

Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard made headlines in the Mainstream media when he screamed out accusations against George Bush's failure to save the mother of a close friend who eventually died when her daily pleas for help were ignored.

Turns out the entire story was a lie!!

The 92 year old woman died in her Nursing home the same day the breeched levee sent water into the Home which was not evacuated in contravention of the State and local evacuation plan.

When I first heard the story I wondered, why didn't her son do anything over the alleged four to seven days that she would have been in danger. According to the bawling Broussard, she called every day, "Save me!, Save me!". Is this not the epitome of finger pointing when your own mother calls for help and you don't lift a finger but you tell her that Big Brother is on the way?

When the waters dissapate, I'm sure we will find the skeletons in Broussards closet.

Kerry and his liberal friends are utopian socialists. They have a blacklist of bad guys in the domestic world and when they see evil acts, they don't observe the act and the actor. They first, above all, draw a line to the bad guy. They ask, "Did you notice the Jews didn't show up to work that day (911)", or they cry, "Look what america's policy have brought on our people".
These islamofascists are EVIL. Yes, the "E" word. They are monsters in human form. They watch us everyday, they know what we watch on TV. They know how predictable our political arguments are. They understand the culture of victimology and the Vietnam syndrome. They see themselves as cellmates discussing and documenting every move of the prison guards. When it comes to plotting, they have nothing but time.
I remember in an interview soon after the 2000 election Justice Kennedy said, the number one topic americans should know more about is the islamic world. How prescient.
The Left thinks that to know us is to love us. How could they learn our culture and not worship us? They study us and they see our compassion as a weakness. Victim status? a weakness and an opportunity to exploit. One of the most disheartening aspects of evil is that they search for that which is good in their enemies and use it against them. So, trying to reason with them like the british did, was expected by the kidnappers, and it made them bubble over in ecstasy. Sick but true. Steyn was right, why play their game. "Nine tens" don't want to become "Nine twelves". Well, tough!!! Some things happen that we have to adapt to, that's life. John Keegan, the Military historian, describes the difference between total war and real war. Total war is war with no bounds. All weapons. No prisoners. All tactics. Torture civilians. Total genocide. NO HOLDS BARRED. [sic]Jingus Khan avoided sieges by asking for surrender and if they did not, he killed every man, woman, and child in the entire city. Word spread fast and they didn't even have a Dan Rather to pass the word. The 20th century did not experience total war it engaged in limited wars, Real war. Bush knows, he is dealing with an evil that kills and hungers for total war. EVIL. Keegan never mentioned "sensitive war" in his books and there is no evidence that word of the arriving Mongols created spirited debates about their motives and who really angered them in the first place.
These evil monsters know that the left has a handicap for defending America. The handicap is a blindspot for Evil. The left, when exposed to true evil, does not like to admit that it is, nor do they want to call it such. In fact they will create convuluted flow charts to point a finger at their political opponents or some other stubborn domestic adversary. Yale Herald Sept. 21, 2001:

Kerry too vain to admit that French lied to his face and suckered him

John Kerry stumbled over a few of his canned responses in Friday nights debate. President Bush by all accounts was more polished, more aggressive and more effective in this debate. Much of the first half of the debate was a volley of statements on the war in Iraq. Some of Kerry's lines that may have passed unnoticed and even seemed like skillful rebutals in the past, are now under increased scrutiny.
Kerry tried to argue that the sanctions against Iraq were designed to eliminate Weapons of mass destruction, not to Remove Saddam Hussein.

KERRY: The goal of the sanctions was not to remove Saddam Hussein, it was to remove the weapons of mass destruction.

Actually there were numerous sanctions against Saddam on a range of different issues. Saddam had some sanctions imposed as far back as UNSCRES 664 just days after invading Kuwait. The sanctions usually refered to are the ones included in UNSCRES 687, the final ceasefire. They include documenting Iraq's Unprovoked missile attacks, mentioning the area as a nuclear free zone, the objective of achieving a balanced and comprehensive control of armaments in the region, ensuring the return of POW/MIAS, restricting Iraq's ability to engage in or support terrorism and to not allow terrorists to operate in its territory and to renounce all acts, methods, and practices of terrorism, to ensure respect for borders, limiting ballistic missiles to 150km, to arrange for finances for inspectors and reparations, and prohibiting possession of certain weapons systems including WMDs. It also prohibited other nations from trading in arms with Iraq. It is clear that the sanctions were established to "contain" Iraq and right previous wrongs including its violation of a WMD treaty from 1972. Secondly it was an opportunity for the Iraqi government to stop the World from waging war against them and possibly staying in power. Removing Saddam was a byproduct of its failure to comply with 687 after his Generals signed it at the barrel of a gun in a tent with Gen. Norman Shartzkopf.

Kerry also admitted he was fooled and suckered by the French, the Russians, and the Chinese. He claimed he went and met with the members of the security council prior to his vote for Iraqi Freedom. Here is what he said:

This president hasn't listened. I went to meet with the members of the Security Council in the week before we voted. I went to New York. I talked to all of them to find out how serious they were about really holding Saddam Hussein accountable. I came away convinced that, if we worked at it, if we were ready to work and letting Hans Blix do his job and thoroughly go through the inspections, that if push came to shove, they'd be there with us. But the president just arbitrarily brought the hammer down and said, Nope. Sorry, time for diplomacy is over. We're going.

After the Duelfer report and others, we now know that the members that Kerry said convinced him were duping him. They fooled him and "He came away convinced". They were not going to "Work at it", they were not going to let "Hans Blix do his job", and they were not "after push came to shove" going to "be there with us". They had been bought and paid for and when the push came to shove, the french and the other crooks that duped Kerry would be doing some pushing and shoving at us, not against their benefactor, Saddam Hussein. Kerry got punked and now he is too stubborn or too vain to admit that he made a mistake!

Last week, Kerry stated very forcefully that he truly believed that Saddam was a threat and he did so even more forcefully tonight. Usually he makes a firm statement and then slips in the truth somewhere in the latter parts of his responses. He is a veteran prosecutor as he reminded us in the debate. During the Tuesday night debate, Kerry's running mate, John Edwards twice went through his prepared timeline of how Saddam was a "real threat". He called him a threat that needed to be confronted, but then Edwards went on to say if the inspectors would have been able to do their job, they would have found that he was not a threat. So which is it? He was a threat or not a threat? You thought he was a threat, but later found out that he was not a threat and there was no condition worthy of confronting Saddam militarily? Confusing? Kerry said it again tonite. First he said:

KERRY: So what does he do? He's trying to attack me. He wants you to believe that I can't be president. And he's trying to make you believe it because he wants you to think I change my mind.
KERRY: Well, let me tell you straight up: I've never changed my mind about Iraq. I do believe Saddam Hussein was a threat. I always believed he was a threat. Believed it in 1998 when Clinton was president. I wanted to give Clinton the power to use force if necessary. But I would have used that force wisely, I would have used that authority wisely, not rushed to war without a plan to win the peace. I would have brought our allies to our side. I would have fought to make certain our troops had everybody possible to help them win the mission. This president rushed to war, pushed our allies aside. And Iran now is more dangerous, and so is North Korea, with nuclear weapons. He took his eye off the ball, off of Osama bin Laden.

Then Later in the Debate, Randee Jacobs asked him a question and He said:
KERRY: Is it Randee?
JACOBS: Yes, Randee. Iran sponsors terrorism and has missiles capable of hitting Israel and southern Europe. Iran will have nuclear weapons in two to three years time. In the event that U.N. sanctions don't stop this threat, what will you do as president?
KERRY: I don't think you can just rely on U.N. sanctions, Randee. But you're absolutely correct, it is a threat, it's a huge threat. And what's interesting is, it's a threat that has grown while the president has been preoccupied with Iraq, where there wasn't a threat. If he'd let the inspectors do their job and go on, we wouldn't have 10 times the numbers of forces in Iraq that we have in Afghanistan chasing Osama bin Laden.

Kerry tries to mischaracterize the sanctions in a very limited way ignoring the other material breeches and the bribes that made the sanctions non-functional and totally compromised. Kerry tries to focus the justification for the war solely upon the existence of large stockpiles of WMDs, not on the clear intent of 687 and that is to contain Saddam and remedy previous breeches. Kerry fails to mention that containment was futile without a non-military solution which Bill Clinton made clear with his legal justification of Desert Fox in 1998. Finally, out of pure vanity or plain stubborness, he refuses to admit that he was fooled by the corrupt UN security council members that were undercutting all of the non-military solutions to a madman addicted to the deadliest weapons ever known.
